Why Choose Us

The Reasons Watch Owners Bring Their Pieces Here

We are not the only watchmakers in Bangkok. But there are particular reasons that collectors and everyday owners keep returning — and that first-time visitors find the experience different from what they expected.

What We Bring to Every Service

18+ Years of Movement Knowledge

Not a counter staffed by general technicians, but a watchmaker who has spent years with mechanical calibres — Swiss and Japanese, vintage and contemporary.

Written Findings Before Work Begins

We assess each piece and record our observations in writing. You receive a clear explanation of what we found and what we propose, before any cost is incurred.

You Decide at Every Stage

Nothing proceeds without your agreement. If the scope changes after inspection, we pause. If you wish to stop the work and collect the piece, we honour that without question.

Measured and Recorded Results

Timing instrument readings before and after service are documented and shared. You know exactly where the movement stands, not just that "it runs well now."

Comfort with Older Movements

Many workshops turn away vintage and collectible pieces. We work with them regularly and understand the particular care they require — sourcing correct lubricants, sourcing period parts, conserving original surfaces.

Unhurried Communication

We respond to enquiries with considered replies rather than auto-generated messages. If you have questions at any point in the service, we answer them plainly and without impatience.

In Depth

Each Benefit, Explained

Professional Expertise

Watchmaking is a long apprenticeship. Our founder trained formally in movement service and regulation and has worked exclusively with horology for over eighteen years. That depth shows in the decisions we make: whether a worn part should be replaced or can reasonably be retained, how much amplitude deviation is acceptable before regulation, which lubricants are appropriate for an escapement versus a keyless works.

  • Formal watchmaking training and experience
  • Proficiency with Swiss and Japanese mechanical calibres
  • Understanding of vintage movement characteristics and tolerances

Tools & Method

We use an ultrasonic cleaning machine for movement parts, a timing machine for rate measurement, and a dry-pressure tester for case integrity. These are tools that a serious workshop should have — not luxuries, but necessities for work that aspires to precision. We document measurements rather than relying on subjective feel.

  • Ultrasonic cleaning for movement components
  • Electronic timing machine readings in multiple positions
  • Dry pressure testing for water-resistant cases

Service Experience

From your first enquiry to collecting a finished piece, the experience is quiet and considered. We do not use sales language. We describe what we see, explain what we propose to do, give you time to think, and proceed only when you are ready. Clients often tell us that the communication alone — clear, prompt, jargon-light — was not what they expected.

  • Thoughtful replies to initial enquiries, usually within two working days
  • Plain-language assessment reports
  • Updates when work progresses or findings change

Clear Pricing

Our service prices are listed starting points — they reflect the standard scope of each service. If inspection reveals additional work required, we tell you before proceeding and give you the choice of scope. There are no charges that appear after the fact. The cost we agree on at assessment stage is the cost you pay.

  • Transparent starting prices published on our website
  • No additional charges without prior owner agreement
  • Parts costs itemised separately and explained

Measurable Outcomes

The result of a good service is not just a watch that feels better to wind — it is a movement running within the rate range appropriate for its calibre, with full amplitude, and with all parts lubricated to the correct specification. We can describe those results precisely because we measure them, and we can show you the numbers.

  • Rate readings shared in the service record
  • Before-and-after comparison available on request
  • Warranty period covering the regulated work

What Makes This Workshop Different

Our Distinctive Approach

A Restoration Plan You Co-Author

For heritage pieces, we prepare a written restoration proposal covering what we found, what we recommend, what we will conserve as-is, and why. You review and agree the plan before work begins. It is a document — not a verbal conversation.

Permanent Service Record

We keep a record of every service we carry out, and you receive a copy. This is useful when the watch changes hands, when an insurance valuation is needed, or simply when you want to know whether a second service is due.

Free Initial Assessment

Bringing a watch to us for a look carries no obligation. We will examine the piece, tell you what we see, and advise on whether and what work would be worthwhile — at no cost. You decide from there.

Postal & Courier Service Available

Clients across Thailand and from abroad regularly send watches by insured courier. We handle correspondence, assessment, and return with the same attention given to in-person drop-offs. Prior arrangement by email or phone recommended.
