How do I know if my watch needs a service?

Common signs include noticeable timekeeping drift over several days, a crown that feels stiff or loose, a scratched or fogged crystal, or a watch that has simply sat unworn for several years. Movements benefit from periodic cleaning and lubrication regardless of visible symptoms — oils degrade even when a watch appears to run well.

How long does a typical service take?

A standard accuracy service generally takes two to four weeks from receipt to collection. Crystal and seal work is often quicker — sometimes within a week. Heritage restorations are longer, and we will give you a considered timeframe after the initial assessment. We would rather be honest about pace than overcommit.

Do you work on all watch brands and types?

We work with most Swiss and Japanese mechanical movements, pocket watches, and many quartz calibres. If we encounter a piece outside our scope, or one that requires manufacturer authorisation, we will tell you honestly and suggest a more appropriate path rather than attempt work we are not suited to carry out.

What happens during the initial assessment?

When your watch arrives, we inspect the movement, case, and external condition. We note our findings in writing and prepare a cost estimate. Nothing proceeds without your agreement. For heritage pieces we may take a few extra days to assess condition thoroughly before preparing a restoration plan.

How do I send a watch to you from outside Bangkok?

Many of our clients post watches from other provinces and from abroad. We recommend using a tracked, insured courier service, packed securely with the crown pushed in. Get in touch first and we will confirm our address details and any packing advice specific to your watch.

Is the service pricing fixed, or might it change?

The listed prices are starting points. If the inspection reveals additional worn parts or complications, we will contact you with a revised estimate before continuing. You may choose to proceed, to limit the scope of work, or to have the watch returned unrepaired — the choice is always yours.
